Kevin Durant isn't Playing in the Finals, Face it America.

Achilles or lower calf injury, Kevin Durant is not playing in the finals. You heard it here, probably not first though. The Warriors have been playing the media since Kevin hurt himself. Is this a ploy to confuse the Raptor's game plan? If so, it hasn't been working.

With the series at 3-1, Raptors leading, the Warriors really need to scramble in order to make this next win. The Warriors also do not have home court advantage putting them in an extra crappy situation. Maybe they can pull through and make the Raptors blow a 3-1 lead rather than them this time, but there has not been much improvement in game play since game one, especially because Klay Thompson isn't playing as well. If this series has taught us something, Steph can't just be a one-man show.

With the every game of the finals, Durant has been questionable to play until the day before or day of they announce that he will not be playing. Of course this happened to game 5 as well, which is airing tomorrow June 10th. Durant could be overcompensating his heel/calf injury to make himself feel more important to the team, and if that's his plan, it's working. His injury must be "heeled" enough for him to not be wearing an ankle brace, and if there is a game 6, maybe the warriors will make it to game seven with a Durant comeback. This is highly unlikely, because without Kevin Durant in game 5, there will be no game six, period. The questionability for game five leads me to believe that he is not playing, due to history of these NBA Finals, therefore, the Raptors are winning in 5.

  1. I wish Ms. Blount was correct and Durant wouldn't play. The man put his career on the line in enemy territory and sacrificed more that game than most of us can ever truly empathize. All I'm saying is, Warriors better win in 7.
